Remembrance Sunday is always very special at the Church of the Transfiguration as we remember those who have lost their lives as a result of war, and pray for peace. You’ll see a formal procession and will hear the sounds of the trumpet and bagpipes. Major Canon Charles Hedley led our first service in 1921 and was our first priest and rector. He was also a chaplain in the 58th Battalion during World War 1. This connection is especially significant on Remembrance Sunday and emphasized with the visit of the 58th Scouts group to our service.
